I had the spec driver Danny "autocross master" Shields drive my car for a best run of 37 seconds. I told him "Leave it in 1st gear, and give it some gas"! He motored back after the run and exclaimed "It's a beast"! That it is, Danny. That it is. 33.5 was the fasted time held by a turbo 4wd Mazda 323. What a car! I could never catch up. Every corner was another hole shot, and I just couldn't keep traction with all that torque in the back, and all the weight in the front.
